William Lilly Obituary

William Cooper Lilly II, 68, died at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Medical Center. 

He retired in 1991 as vice presi­dent lending after 35 years at Citi­zens Bank.  He was a World War II Army veteran and was stationed in Ger­many during the Korean War.

He was a member of Eagles, Metropolitan Evansville Chamber of Commerce, American Lung As­sociation, Mental Health Associa­tion, Downtown Retail Merchants Association, Evansville Advertising Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114. He helped bring the Jazz Festi­val to Evansville in the early 1960s.

Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Williams of St. Philip, Ind.; two sons, Brett M. and William C. Ill, both of Evansville; two sisters, Ar­lene Shanner of Adrian, Mich., and Virginia Drozd of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and four grandchildren, Dan and Jessica Williams and Brett Jr. and Bryan Lilly.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Sun­day at Boone Funeral Home 5330 Washington Ave., Joseph Fraccaro officiating, with burial pending. 

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time Sunday at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel,
