William “Bill” Utley, 80, of Evansville, died at 1:19 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minn.
Mr. Utley retired in 1978 from American Dairy where he worked for 12 years. He also had worked for Hoosier Cardinal and Bernardin Bottle Cap. Co.
He was a lifetime member of Central United Methodist Church, where he was treasurer of the Acme Sunday school class.
Mr. Utley was also a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, treasurer of the Friday Night Dance Club, president of Royal Vista Condominiums Association, and a member of the Eagles and Coterie of Evansville.
He was an avid golfer and bowler, and enjoyed dancing.
His first wife, Marjorie, died in 1983, and his second wife, Louise, died in January.
Surviving are daughters, Sue Scott of Henderson, Nancy Jo Utley of Evansville and Peggy Ann Hudson of Newburgh; stepdaughters, Connie Dinan of Duluth, and Cindy Lindley of Scottsdale, Ariz.; eight grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Boone Funeral Home — 5330 Washington Ave., with the Rev. C. Mac Hamon officiating. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
The family said friends, if they wish, may make memorial contributions to St. Mary’s Medical Center Coronary Intensive Care Unit, 407 E. Third St., Duluth, Minn., 55805 or Central United Methodist Church in Evansville.
