William David “Billy” Harmon, age 39, of Newburgh, IN, passed away on Wednesday, March 3,2021 in Iowa.
Billy was born 11/18/81, in Vincennes, IN. He was raised in Evansville, IN. He attended Bosse High School. Billy was a true rolling stone who gathered no moss. His work took him all over the country, where he met and worked with people from all walks of life. Bill never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to those in need. He had a heart the size of Mt. Everest. He had the gift of “gab” like no other and always made others feel welcome. Bill was very loyal to his family and friends. He loved bass fishing, muscle cars, country music, outdoor BBQ’s and a cold beer with his friends. Bill struggled his whole adult life with addiction and depression. Although he tried desperately to overcome his demons, the addiction won his battle. Billy was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Billy is survived by his parents, Teresa “Terrie” Blackford (Benny) of Newburgh, IN, and David Harmon (Tammy) of Pinckneyville, IL; son, Logan of Effingham, IL; siblings, Tara Cissell (Richard Towes) of Atlanta, GA, Shana Williams of Naples, FL, Tyler Harmon (Jessica), Natalie Hix (Mick) of Chantilly, VA, and Elizabeth Blackford of Evansville, IN; nieces, Kelsi Clements and Ava Martin of Evansville, IN; nephews, Kaleb Harmon and Kameron Williams of Naples, FL; and a close childhood friend, Autumn Hite.
Billy is preceded in death by several grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
