Philip Manfre, 86, of Evansville, died yesterday at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich.
He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps, and he was a captain and a glider pilot.
Mr. Manfre was the former owner of the Tiller-Faith Piano and Organ Co. of Evansville, Louisville and Owensboro. He retired from Everett Piano Co. of South Haven, Mich.
Mr. Manfre was a member of the Elks Lodge, Kennel Club and Turners and attended the Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
His wife of 37 years, Martha Nell Robertson, died in 1992.
Surviving are daughters, Jane Elizabeth Hadad of Toledo, Ohio, Susan H. Carroll of Birmingham, Mich., and Julia H. Manfre of Indianapolis, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m Tuesday at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN, 47715,, Rev. Joseph Baus officiating, with burial in Parklawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral'' home.
