Harold Massey Sr.

Harold Massey, Sr., 66, passed away at 8:05 am, on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital Evansville. 

Harold was born August 22, 1951 son of Lawrence and Katherine Massey in Madisonville, KY.  Harold was a member of VFW Post 2953.  He worked many years as a self employed construction worker.  He loved the Ohio River camps, gardening, grilling, and using his smoker. Harold was dearly loved, and will be missed by his friends and family.

He is survived by his best friend of 41 years, Barbara Massey, son, Harold “Junior” (Lacey) Massey, Jr., daughters, Shannon (Andy) Beard, Susan Thaddies, and Stacy (Damion) Methena; sisters Josephine Faver and Cathy Powell; grandchildren, Hailey, Devin, Corey, Clint, Damon, Cody, Shane, Corina, Aaron, Kyle; great grandchildren, Emersyn, Zayne, Gracelyn, Corbin, Raelynn, and Serenity; dear friends, Don Maddox, Charlie Weston, Terry Young; and many nieces and nephews. 

Memorial Service will be held at 7 pm, Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville.  Burial will be Private.   

Friends may visit from 4 pm until 7 pm, Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
