Wilma F (Kennedy) Cook

Wilma (Kennedy) Cook, 93, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 4:32 pm, Monday, September 25, 2017, at River Pointe Health Campus.

Wilma was born March 18, 1924, to Carl and Callie (Minor) Kennedy at Lamar, IN, in Spencer County.  Her parents moved to Evansville when she was one year old, and lived here the rest of her life.

She was a member of Crossroads Christian Church. Wilma enjoyed her family, her home and especially her great grandchildren.

Wilma is survived by her daughter, Judie Littrell, granddaughter, Melissa Scheessele, and her husband, Jeffrey Scheessele, brother-in-law, Phillip Heston, two great grandchildren, Madilyn and Drake Scheessele, two nieces, Kathy Abbott & Janice Stiver and their husbands and children.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Heston, and beloved husband, Wayne M. Cook, who were married in April of 1955. 

A Private Service for the family, neighbors, and close friends will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville.  Burial will be at Bellefontaine Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, IN, immediately following the service. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any other consideration may be in the form of contribution to the American Heart Association.
