For Lanette - My husband (Seth Jackson) and I send love, prayers and light your way. At 93, your dad had a great run. Still, none of us are ever ready to say "goodbye,for now," to our folks. Both of your parents had such an impact on the lives of so many people. They were always so kind to me and so many others of our peers, not to mention the adults with whom they interacted.
Last Christmas, I had misplaced your address and sent a card for you to your Dad's house. He sent us back a beautiful card about how we was ready to grab "Ginny," and get on the train to Heaven.
When I look at your Dad's picture,and see that characteristic smile, I think of him hanging out with my folks in Heaven. I also have a little piece of your dad, at my house in the form of a cabinet that our two fathers built together.

We are Brandon Uzarek's parents. Brandon lives across the street from Don and was just out of college when he moved in. Don and Brandon got along well. When we visited from Minnesota, Don would come over (at first) to check out the visitors. After our first visit, he would come over to talk and share his adventures with his inventions and airplanes. We would cross the street to check in, visit with Don and Ginny, and to borrow tools Brandon didn't have to attend to the upkeep of Brandon's house. We were at peace with the knowledge that Don was there, watching over Brandon. We will miss Don. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you!!
