Janoula (George) Boosalis

Janoula Boosalis, 71, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away at 1:05 am, Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at St. Vincent - Evansville.

Janoula was born in Evansville, November 11, 1946, the daughter of the late James Michael and Gustine Samuel (Lahanis) George.  She was the owner of both George’s Pizza and Odyssey One Disco in Fairfield, IA and a member at St. Ananias Orthodox Church.

She is survived by her children, Yota Giardino-Miller (Sean) of Washington, IA., John Boosalis of Bettendorf, IA., and Jim Boosalis of Tampa, FL; siblings, Susie Arflack (Tom) of Chandler, IN., Michael George of Evansville, and Phillip George (Lani) of Tyler, TX; grandchildren, Elainie Giardino-Turner (Parker), Ella Boosalis, Alexis Boosalis, Demitra Giardino, Demitra Boosalis, Jack Giardino, and Isabella Giardino, and many nieces and nephews.

Janoula is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nicholas Boosalis; infant sister, Maria George, and brother, Samuel George.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, December 2, 2017, at St. Ananias Orthodox Church, 3407 Bellemeade Ave, Evansville, with Reverend Father Daniel Hackney officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 3 pm until 7 pm, Friday, December 1, 2017, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville and also from 9 am until time of service at 10 am Saturday, at St. Ananias Orthodox Church.  A Prayer Service will be offered at 6:45 pm Friday.
